Valuations
Whether you're insuring a treasured item, handling a probate estate or simply curious about your jewellery’s worth, our expert valuation service is available here in Cirencester. From our Dyer Street premises, we offer trusted assessments of jewellery, watches and silverware – tailored to your needs with discretion, care and local knowledge built over generations.

Insurance Valuations
For clients who need a formal valuation for insurance purposes, we work with an experienced and independent registered valuer. These appointments are held at our shop on scheduled dates and must be booked in advance.
Each item is professionally assessed for replacement value, and a full written document is provided for your records and insurer. We take care to ensure your jewellery is handled safely, discreetly and respectfully at every stage. To arrange a valuation, simply call the shop and we’ll guide you through the booking process.

Probate Valuations
When handling the estate of a loved one, a probate valuation is often required as part of the legal process. We understand that this can be an emotional and unfamiliar time, which is why we aim to make the process as clear and respectful as possible.
Our team provides formal, HMRC-compliant valuations for jewellery, watches and silverware, reflecting current market values. These reports are carefully prepared and can be used to support the grant of probate application. Each item is assessed thoroughly by our external registered valuer, who visits our shop once a month. You're welcome to drop off items at any time leading up to your appointment, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.
We’re here to offer trusted guidance and support during a time when attention to detail and sensitivity matter most.

What We Value
We offer professional valuations for a wide range of fine pieces, whether contemporary, vintage or antique. This includes jewellery of all types, from diamond rings and wedding bands to brooches, pendants, earrings and family heirlooms. We’re also pleased to value designer and bespoke pieces, as well as inherited items whose origins may be unknown.
Our valuation service also covers watches, including both modern and vintage models from leading Swiss brands. Whether mechanical or quartz, with or without original papers, we can assess condition, rarity and replacement value.
In addition to personal jewellery and timepieces, we value silverware, from cutlery sets and serving pieces to decorative items and presentation gifts. If you’re unsure whether your item qualifies, we’re happy to take a look and advise you with care and discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of items do you value?
We value a wide range of jewellery, from antique and vintage pieces to modern fine jewellery. We also provide valuations for watches, silverware, and gemstone items.
How much does a valuation cost?
Valuation pricing depends on the number and complexity of items being assessed. You're welcome to drop off your items up to the day before your appointment, and in some cases, they can be ready for collection the day after. The final paperwork is typically prepared within a week of the assessment.
Do I need an appointment for a valuation?
Yes, for insurance and probate valuations, our external valuer visits once a month, so appointments are scheduled for that day. You’re welcome to drop off your items any time leading up to the appointment.
